Canadians each month when the device goes on sale July 11 have been
leaked on the Internet, a Web site claims.

"Gen2 iPhone pricing is aggressive enough that it made me think Apple's
really taking the gloves off on this one," said Portelligent CEO David
Carey in an interview with EETimes. "They are probably not as worried

Research in Motion (RIM) Ltd’s BlackBerry increased its share of the U.S. smartphone market in the first quarter, while Apple Inc’s iPhone lost ground, according to a report from the global market research firm IDC. Apple iPhone’s market share in the smartphones category in the US is currently at around 19.2% percent, a plunge from 26.7% the quarter before.

With the European Union choosing DVB-H as the mobile-television standard over other versions of the technology in March, Samsung Electronics will commercialize a handset supporting the new format as a pre-emptive measure in the Netherlands.
